Lead Employment Counsel - EMEA
Job description
A major global FMCG brand is seeking to add a Senior Employment Lawyer to the team.
The company's head office is in Buckinghamshire, but they are highly flexible on office requirements.
In this position you will be responsible for all Employment Law matters across the EMEA region, working closely with the countries' HR departments as well as the EMEA and US Legal functions.
In this role you will:
Advise senior stakeholders on all aspects of employment law, including contractual agreements, TUPE, redundancy, restructures, settlement agreements, disputes, grievances or disciplinary matters, internal policies and procedures and DEI initiatives
Manage interactions and negotiations with individual employees, Trade unions and Country and EU Works Councils
Manage EMEA transformational projects and advising the business from an employment law perspective
Designing and implementing governance, systems and processes to ensure EMEA-wide compliance with applicable employment law
Identifying, preparing and delivering required training to key stakeholders on pending changes in employment and labour related laws
Requirements:
minimum of 5 PQE in Employment Law
substantial experience of EU, UK and French employment law and litigation, some experience of other EMEA jurisdictions preferred
French speakers are particularly encouraged to apply, although this is not a firm requirement
