Marine Development Underwriter

Job description

Based in the North / Midlands with strong Marine Cargo Insurance experience, who would thrive being in front of Brokers face to face? After all, you are solutions driven and a natural people person.

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Marine Cargo Insurance Broker or Underwriter to join a highly rated regional and Lloyds Insurance Company as a Marine Cargo Development Underwriter in Manchester

Development is the focus naturally, but this is a chance for you to get under the skin of your Broker partners and really find out what makes them tick, their pain points and struggles. Any immediate growth areas?

You will be given a select panel of Brokers to manage and target, some are sending through a constant stream of risks, some need a little more attention.

This is where you step in.

Day to day, you'll be building relationships with Brokers and looking to drive enquiries from your partnered clients. You will work closely with the development team, who, within their role will look to specifically open doors for you to go in and offer your 'technical marine expertise'

Even better, this firm will consider individuals from either an Underwriting or Broking background (If the latter, you must evidence a strong track record handling marine cargo business)

On offer is a salary up to £50,000 per year + 12.5% bonus + flexible working (Requirement to be in the office once/twice a week). You'll also enjoy a whole suite of benefits which can be shared with you via a brochure.

This is a genuine opportunity for an ambitious marine insurance professional to come into a thriving business who are continuing to grow year on year.

No CV? Absolutely no both, simply get in touch and we can help build you a profile if you would be open to exploring.
