Role Overview:
As a Trainee Solicitor at Troutman Pepper Locke, you will work alongside experienced solicitors and gain exposure to a wide variety of legal disciplines, including corporate, finance, real estate, employment, disputes, and restructuring. You will develop your legal skills through hands-on experience, client-facing work, and training in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
The firm is looking to hire the successful candidate for a start date early in Q2 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in legal research, drafting documents, and preparing cases.
- Support fee earners in managing client relationships and case management.
- Participate in meetings with clients, counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver legal services to clients.
- Participate in internal and external training programs, continuing professional development (CPD), and mentoring.
- Contribute to the firm's growth by bringing a proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
What We're Looking For:
- A strong academic record (2:1 or above in your degree, or equivalent qualifications) including completed LPC.
- A genuine interest in law, with a passion for commercial and business law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
