Job description
We are looking for a Commercial Director to come in and lead a team of Account Executives / Development Executives and be responsible for implementing regional sales and retention strategies.
You will be required to motivate, guide and coach a team of Account Executives in order to drive growth through improved retention, cross-sales or new client sales and by doing so contribute to Branch and Regional P&L targets. In the Commercial Director role, you will have overall accountability for the performance of the Account Executives/Development Executives, providing them with development plans, ensuring they are trained and equipped to perform their role, together with supporting them on more complex client issues.
The main focus of this role will be to provide strong, effective leadership of the Account Executive/Development Executive team and provide them with direction and guidance, in order for them to meet their targets, providing support and guidance on client issues as required.
The role will also involve;
- Reviewing the market and relevant sectors to understand new opportunities, performance against competitors in the market, identify challenges and threats from external competition and provide our team with clear advice and direction.
- You will work closely with the Branch Director to highlight potential barriers to retention or new sales and also promote opportunities for business growth, sharing good practice and ideas.
- You will lead and support the team to deliver the best customer outcomes to ensure a first-class service is provided.
- You will meet all quality assurance requirements which highlights trends to enable actions and mitigations to be put into place.
The successful applicant will have;
- A proven track record of managing teams to deliver revenue targets along with extensive knowledge of the insurance industry specifically placement and insurer relationships.
- You will have a proven track record of delivering both top and bottom-line performance and growth, organically and inorganically.
- You will be a strong manager, with a commercial focus and financial awareness, and have the ability to coach, mentor and guide others.
- Excellent communication skills which will enable you to build and maintain relationships with teams and stakeholders across the business at all levels
