Job description
The Role
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and ambitious lawyer to join as an Associate in the firms growing insolvency and restructuring team.
The ideal candidate will be 1-2 PQE with previous experience of both contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring matters and a desire to specialise within the insolvency industry.
Working in our insolvency and restructuring team, you will work on a broad range of insolvency and restructuring work. Our clients include insolvency practitioners, directors, creditors, and other stakeholders. Our matters range from high value and high profile matters, through to smaller matters working closely with other teams in the firm including our highly ranked Charities, Family and Real Estate teams.
You will be given a high level of responsibility, whether managing files on your own (under the supervision and with the support of others in the team) or working with the team on larger matters. You will be actively involved in the team's business development activities, with the desire and initiative to identify opportunities in the market.
The team splits their time between the firm's London offices, and also offers flexible working where appropriate and in line with the needs of our clients.
Technical skills and expertise
- Experience of both contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring matters
- Strong grasp of insolvency and restructuring law and practice
- A knowledge of cross-border insolvency issues, and claims involving international parties / assets
- The ability to manage matters independently
- A commitment to providing first class advice and delivering outstanding client service
- A desire to be involved in the team's marketing and business development activities
