Account Executive

Job description

The Company

A leading broking house with a strong UK-wide presence, this firm is recognised for its expertise in the commercial, corporate, and specialist insurance markets. Holding Chartered status, they have grown significantly through strategic investments and acquisitions, positioning themselves as a top player in the Scottish broking space.

With an ambitious and talented leadership team, they are now investing further in their Scottish Executive team, with a particular focus on expanding their presence in the Inverness region.

The Role

Here you'll be operating in a client facing role, providing clear and valuable advice to new and existing clients across their commercial insurance arrangements.

You will take ownership of an existing portfolio of commercial accounts while working closely with an established specialist Executive whose clients present significant commercial opportunities. Your role will be to convert these opportunities, develop your own client base, and establish yourself as a key commercial figure for the brokerage in Inverness.

Initially you'll operate in a home based role working in close conjunction with the established specialist Executive already operating in the region.

As you get your feet under the table and gather traction, the plan will be to open a small office in the area and build a team to provide that key support piece you'll need to really develop the business in the region.

About You

  • Experience in a commercial insurance broking role, ideally as an Account or Development Executive.
  • Strong knowledge across general insurance classes.
  • Ideally based within commuting distance of Inverness.
  • Willingness to progress through insurance qualifications.

This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage an existing portfolio, capitalise on a leading brand with excellent marketing support, and build a profitable business.

Long-term, this role provides a clear route into leadership.
