Accounts Payable Technician
Job description
We are working on a retained project for our client, a Lloyd's insurance broker who are actively looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Technician to join their team.
The main purpose of the role is to provide an efficient, high quality, accurate and timely accounting service to the company.
What you will be doing;
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of all areas of insurance accounting with the company and London accounts affiliates
- Management of underwriter payables process and payments in relation to Company and Placing Intermediary markets including reconciliation of balances and payments to underwriters.
- Management of claims payable process and payments to claimants
- Maintenance of the Insurance Broking Ledgers, to include reconciliations and settlements to insurers, agents and producers
- Responsibility for regular Insurer and Market payments and on occasion company payments
- Any other reasonable task or project as may be required from time to time
The successful candidate will have;
- Industry / market knowledge
- Being proactive in keeping knowledge up to date
- Experience of multi-currency accounting
- Computer literate
- Balance Sheet Accounting / reconciliation
- Knowledge of Insurance Broking accounting
