A leading UK law firm with a reputation for providing exceptional legal services across a broad range of sectors, including construction, energy, real estate, and more. Known for its collaborative culture, high-profile clients, and professional development opportunities, this firm offers a supportive and dynamic environment in which to thrive.
Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Contentious Construction Solicitor (5+ PQE) to join its well-regarded construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a proven track record in contentious construction matters to take on high-profile, complex cases and work closely with a talented team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on a broad range of contentious construction matters, including disputes related to construction contracts, delays, defects, and claims.
- Managing your own caseload, with support from senior lawyers where necessary.
- Representing clients in litigation, adjudication, arbitration, and mediation, and drafting relevant documents and pleadings.
- Collaborating with clients, other solicitors, and experts to deliver tailored and effective dispute resolution strategies.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients, while actively supporting the team in business development efforts.
- Keeping abreast of developments in construction law and providing updates to clients on relevant legal changes.
Skills & Experience:
- Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years PQE in contentious construction law.
- Strong experience in construction disputes, ideally covering both private and public sector projects.
- Proficiency in adjudication, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple matters effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude for building client relationships.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a commercial mindset.
Why Join?
- Work with top-tier clients on high-profile, complex construction disputes.
- Join a well-established, supportive team with significant scope for professional development.
- Excellent work-life balance and flexible working options.
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected law firm with a reputation for handling high-quality contentious construction work. If you are passionate about construction law and enjoy managing complex disputes, this could be the ideal role for you.
