Desktop Account Executive
Job description
Tired of the daily grind and dreaming of a role that works around your life, not the other way around?
Say hello to flexibility. With this role, you can work from the comfort of your home as much as you like. Prefer an office vibe?
No problem-there's a network of offices across the North for you to drop into whenever suits. Oh, and the occasional office visit (just 1-2 times a month) is more about connecting than clocking in.
About the Company
This isn't your typical insurance brokerage.
You'll be joining an award-winning, independently owned business that's earned a reputation as one of the best in the UK for commercial and agricultural insurance.
- Independent Spirit: No corporate red tape here-just a close-knit team that values collaboration over hierarchy.
- People-First Culture: They genuinely care about their employees, prioritizing their well-being over profit margins.
- Visible Leadership: Led by a brilliant Managing Director who's approachable, supportive, and dedicated to creating a positive workplace.
- Industry Recognition: Despite their smaller size, they're a big name in the industry, recognised as one of the best independent brokerages in the UK.
It's a company where you'll feel valued, supported, and inspired to do your best work.
What's the Job About?
You'll step into a brand-new role as a Desktop Account Executive, working with agricultural clients like farms, estates, and suppliers.
You'll manage a portfolio of clients remotely- no need to worry about face-to-face meetings (unless you want to).
Here's what you'll do:
Handle client reviews, renewals, re-broking, and everything in between.
Spot opportunities to fill coverage gaps and introduce new products to clients (extra bonuses for the new business you bring in).
Build strong relationships with your clients and the wider market.
What You'll Need
Experience in commercial/agricultural insurance broking (whether you're in account handling or sales).
Ideally, you'll know your way around Acturis, but don't worry-training is available if not.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills to handle client and market interactions like a pro.
A base in the Southern half of Scotland or Northern England.
Got an interest in agriculture? Even better -you'll hit the ground running.
Don't know much about farms but willing to learn? Training is part of the package.
The Perks
Up to £45,000 salary, plus bonuses for growing your portfolio.
Flexibility to balance work and life however you like.
A supportive, award-winning team that's invested in your success.
Ongoing training and development opportunities to help you thrive.
