This is a very exciting opportunity for an Environmental Solicitor to kick off the start of the makings of an Environmental team in Birmingham. You will be a part of a wider national environmental offering, which is led a true industry leaders in this area, but have the chance to be the first environmental solicitor on the ground in Birmingham.

This planning and environmental team is a multi-disciplinary team made up of planning lawyers, environmental lawyers and planning consultants operating across a number of sectors. The team works to provide specialist advice on a range of environmental matters - which includes environmental regulation, biodiversity and sustainability, environmental permitting, circular economy, contaminated land, waste and water regulation, climate change and regulatory defence.

You will be:

  • Qualified Solicitor ideally over 2 years PQE, and qualified within England & Wales
  • Experienced in Environmental law - either have experience in corporate and real estate transactional work, or contentious and regulatory matters
  • Keen to develop a practice in Birmingham and be part of leading the growth of this environmental team
