With over $2 billion in gross premiums written annually, this is a business with true scale and a diversified product portfolio-25% of which is driven by its high-performing Financial Lines division.

The Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Legal Counsel with 2 to 5 years' post-qualified experience to step into a broad, high-impact role within a sophisticated legal function. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support across corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
  • Advise on insurance regulatory compliance, licensing, filings, and internal governance
  • Draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of commercial agreements
  • Collaborate with underwriting, compliance, claims, and product development teams
  • Partner with leadership to support strategic initiatives, product launches, and growth plans

About You

  • 2-5 years of post-qualification legal experience, ideally from a law firm or in-house (insurance is a must)
  • Strong grounding in corporate, commercial, or regulatory law
  • A commercially minded communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to engage with senior leaders and influence decision-making
  • Willingness to work from the NYC office 3 days per week

Why Join?

You'll be joining a business at the forefront of specialty insurance innovation, with exposure to a wide array of product lines and the chance to play a key role in shaping legal strategy across the business. You'll work closely with an engaged and visionary leadership team and enjoy a strong culture of empowerment, learning, and collaboration.
