Consultant
Marine Broker
Job description
Technical Marine Placing Broker inheriting an existing portfolio of wholesale business.
No personal production expected (Unless you wanted to)
Probably the most requested job role I receive from individuals in the London Marine market.
If you're good at what you do, this role will offer a great sense of security.
Even better, this is joining a highly popular and reputable Independent, Lloyd's Broker who have recently acquired some new investment, meaning it's a real opportunistic time to consider joining, as there will be likely be senior roles for you to move into.
If you're described by your peers to be technical and a well-rounded individual, you tend to enjoy mixing your days up so that you can utilise all your knowledge and experience.
This is exactly what will be offered here
Your days will be varied as you'll service an existing portfolio of marine wholesale business, where you'll have exposure to various facets of marine and develop relationships with Underwriters from all parts of the market
P&I, Hull & Machinery and some Marine Liability work where you'll build on an already strong foundation of clients across LATAM and the UK.
You'll expect to be offered a base salary up to £85,000 for a pure placement role. If you have a track record of producing/growing accounts, you'll be able to demand a larger salary and package.
"I joined the business because I want to be part of building a forward-thinking independent broking house. When I met the team it was an instant connection and found that their values strongly reflected my own. I love that everyone's individuality is encouraged because acceptance in the workplace fosters creativity and productivity."
Some great words from an existing employee who joined the business a couple of years ago
