Marine Insurance Account Executive

Job description

You're either an expert handling UK / European Marine Retail clients, or are currently a Commercial Account Executive with some marine exposure and you'd like to specialise.

After all, many of the clients you will be prospecting will be on the coasts of the UK so this would give you an opportunity to explore new and interesting places.

Not only would you like to grow your own portfolio of marine business, you will thrive on the opportunity to take over an existing portfolio of business and gradually move into a leadership role over time

Your expertise lies within UK Marine Trade and Yacht business, you've developed relationships with various commercial marine clients such as Marinas, Sailing Clubs, Boat Builders, Vessel Sellers and Boat yards

As a Marine Insurance Account Executive, you have a natural passion for marine and pleasurecraft, and like to inject that enthusiasm when providing Insurance solutions to your clients. You are sales focussed, but in a way that helps businesses achieve their own goals.

Given the marine sector is a strong 'referral' industry, you are typically not aggressive with your approach, you're advice led and like to make a difference and in turn look to drive referral business from your existing clients

Joining this independent, privately owned Marine Insurance Broker you'll operate as a Marine Insurance Account Executive

  • On offer is a salary between £40,000 - £60,000 a commission scheme to increase your earnings + benefits. Car allowance may be on offer for the right individual, however fuel is covered.
  • You'll have access to an array of offices across the UK, however you'll have the flexibility to manage your own time at home post probation.

What have you got to offer in return?

  • You'll have a strong background handling commercial combined insurance programmes for your clients. You'll ideally have a track record of developing business within the Marine Trade/Commercial Marine/Yacht sectors, plus be open to networking and attending sailing club events
  • Able to work independently and drive to prospective and existing clients across the UK
