A bit about the job:
In this role, you will play a crucial part in underwriting profitable business while adhering to agreed-upon guidelines and authority levels. You will also be responsible for:
- Developing, building, and nurturing relationships with assigned customers and brokers.
- Providing technical support and assistance, addressing all inquiries efficiently.
- Utilising a network of relevant stakeholders to deliver the most comprehensive proposition tailored to the customer's needs.
- Working independently within your underwriting authority, collaborating on more technical and complex risks when necessary.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Proven knowledge of insurance product features and processes.
- Strong understanding of underwriting practices, specifically within Commercial Motor Fleet.
- Excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
- Exceptional communication, listening, time management, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a large and dynamic organisation.
- Sound knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulations and legislation.
