Job description

My client is currently looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join their team in Southport.

The successful candidate will support the advisors with the design, construction and delivery of exceptional advice and recommendations to meet their client's goals. You will responsible for managing all Client Reporting, Analysis & Research and Post Review / Advice actions for clients across a range of different needs and objectives.

The Paraplanner will be responsible for:

  • All recommendation and annual review reporting for new and existing clients which could require attendance in client meetings and will require engagement with the assigned adviser.
  • Providing guidance and assistance for advisers, in the development of investment portfolios for clients of the firm.
  • Training other members of the team on matters relating to the above activities, as required.
  • Maintenance of any proprietary investment management tools used in the above activities.
  • Ensuring the investment management processes are being followed and continually reviewed and improved.
  • Supporting planners and advisers in the application of those processes in support of the client.
  • Providing a contact point for administration regarding any queries concerning the implementation of portfolio changes
  • Ensure their CRM is maintained and accurately reflects the circumstances of the client (Fact Find) and our delivered servicing proposition.
  • Support the continual improvement and development of existing processes and controls.
  • Support the wider strategic and business goals of the business with objectives that compliment the skills and experience of a Financial Planner


Required Skills

  • Able to analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative data with a view to identifying patterns, problem solving, presenting data and working with others to reach conclusions.
  • Able to anticipate the needs of the client against the capacity of the planning team to meet review deadlines and support the rest of the team.
  • Excellent communication skills in support of presenting solutions to Planners and Advisers and in some cases clients. In addition to liaising with Administrators in the implementation of recommendations.
  • Tactful, trustworthy, diplomatic and able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • High level of IT competency including ability to effectively use a variety of software (e.g. Financial Express Analytics and other investment analysis tools).
  • Comfortable working on own initiative, setting and managing personal goals, directing workflow and managing often conflicting deadlines.
