Job description
Leading regional law firm seeks to appoint a Commercial Litigation Partner to lead their Disputes team in Oxford.
Our client is keen to build a market leading commercial disputes practice, handing high quality commercial litigation work on behalf of local, regional and national clients. As an experienced litigator, you'll be well versed in advising on mainstream commercial disputes work with a clear focus on undertaking quality work for quality commercial clients which may include corporates, owner managed enterprises, PLCs, entrepreneurs and investors.
The firm is keen to appoint a commercial litigation partner to play an instrumental role in developing and leading a commercial litigation practice from Oxford, With expertise in managing contentious matters arising from commercial contract disputes, partnership, shareholder and director disputes, you may perhaps also have a specialism in areas such as company dissolutions, insolvency and debt recovery, banking and finance litigation or professional negligence claims. You will bring strong technical expertise in one or more of these commercial areas.
In addition, you will be able to develop strong and sustainable client relationships, be outward facing, commercial in your approach and client led.
Whilst offering from day one, a huge amount of support and backing from the wider partnership and disputes lawyers based in other locations, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be comfortable generating their own workflow from an early stage.
This is an excellent role which would suit an established commercial disputes lawyer looking for a partnership role offering genuine autonomy and the chance to shape the department.
