About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Agricultural Property Lawyer to join a leading law firm with a strong reputation in the agricultural sector. This role is based in their Bristol office, offering the chance to work within a dynamic team known for delivering exceptional legal services to clients in the rural, agricultural, and estates industries.


As an Agricultural Property Lawyer, you will provide expert legal advice on a variety of property matters relating to agriculture, landowners, and farming clients. You will be working with a diverse client base, including agricultural businesses, landowners, tenants, and estate managers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on a broad range of agricultural property matters, including land acquisitions, sales, leasing, and development.
  • Handle complex legal issues related to agricultural property, including farm business tenancies, diversification, and the sale and purchase of rural land.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring a high level of service and tailored advice.
  • Draft and review a variety of legal documents, including contracts, leases, and deeds.
  • Provide guidance on agricultural law issues such as planning, environmental regulations, and tax.
  • Work closely with colleagues in other practice areas, including tax, litigation, and commercial property, to deliver holistic advice to clients.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments and trends to ensure the firm remains at the forefront of agricultural law.


Skills and Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in real estate property law or a related field.
  • Strong technical expertise in agricultural law, property transactions, and land law, not essential
  • Experience in advising clients within the agricultural or rural sectors is essential.
  • Proven track record of managing a caseload of complex and high-value matters.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commercially astute with a practical, client-focused approach.
