About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Manager to join our growing team in Malta. You will lead key compliance initiatives, face off to regulators, and contribute to high-impact projects in areas such as IDD, Data Protection, and ESG.

Key Responsibilities:

• Horizon Scanning: Monitor regulatory developments and evolving legislation across Malta and the EU, ensuring timely identification of emerging compliance risks and opportunities.
• Framework Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain effective compliance frameworks to ensure the company's adherence to local and international regulatory requirements.
• Regulator Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for Maltese and EU regulators, managing relationships and ensuring timely responses to inquiries or audits.
• Policy Development: Develop and update compliance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Project Leadership: Lead initiatives related to the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD), GDPR compliance, and ESG strategy implementation.
• Training and Awareness: Provide compliance training to internal teams to foster a culture of regulatory awareness and accountability.
• Risk Mitigation: Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and recommend controls to mitigate identified risks.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee compliance monitoring programs and deliver reports to senior management and regulators on compliance performance and risks.

What We're Looking For:

• Extensive experience in compliance within the insurance, financial services, or risk management sectors.
• Strong understanding of Maltese and EU regulatory frameworks, including IDD, GDPR, and ESG principles.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing compliance frameworks.
• Experience engaging directly with regulators and managing regulatory relationships.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
