Senior Marine Cargo Underwriter
Job description
Not only is this Lloyd's Insurer/Syndicate willing to make an offer to an Underwriter wishing to step up into a Senior role, it's available due to strong growth and not to replace someone leaving.
This well regarded Marine and Cargo Insurance business are going through a period of transformational growth and as such, are seeing an added amount of business coming through globally. Certainly an opportunistic time to consider joining.
Sitting on the box, you will underwrite global and multinational Marine Cargo and Stock throughput business and benefit from having all binders and line-slips already in place. Business is written on their Lloyd's syndicate platform as a mixture of open market and line slips on both a direct and facultative basis across a global portfolio.

- Flexible working arrangement - If you prefer to be in London 2/3 days a week great, 5 days this is also fine!

- You will have a robust and exceptional back office infrastructure around you, which will include 2 Cargo Underwriting Assistants who will support you in London
What do you have to offer?
- You will ideally hold 5+ years industry experience within the Cargo Insurance market. This could be from a syndicate or company market
- We are able to consider a vastly experienced Marine Cargo Broker who may be looking to pivot into the underwriting space
- You will have strong wholesale and retail connections and be able to deepen/strengthen existing relationships
