Solicitor / Team Leader - Personal injury
Job description
A leading global firm is seeking a Team Leader to oversee a team handling personal injury motor claims. This role involves supervising case handlers, ensuring team performance, and managing a small caseload of litigated files. The successful candidate will report to multiple senior stakeholders and play a key role in maintaining an efficient and high-performing team.
People Management:
- Lead, develop, and motivate a team to achieve operational targets and maintain high engagement.
- Support recruitment, on-boarding, and performance management of team members.
- Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities.
Technical Management:
- Allocate cases effectively and ensure balanced workloads.
- Manage monthly performance reporting and billing accuracy.
- Maintain a small caseload of complex litigated motor claims, achieving financial targets.
Key Requirements
- Litigation experience in motor claims, ideally with supervisory/mentoring exposure.
- Familiarity with Simple Procedure, Summary Cause, and Ordinary Cause Procedure in Scotland.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
