IDEX are supporting one of the Corporate Insurance Brokers on exciting new opening in Leicester.
As they expand, we are looking for a motivated and dynamic Commercial Account Handler to join their growing team.

Job Description:

As a Commercial Account Handler, you will play a key role in supporting their clients and managing their insurance portfolios. You will be responsible for offering expert advice, assisting with policy renewals, handling claims, and helping to develop tailored insurance solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to make an impact in a fresh, entrepreneurial environment while building your career in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of commercial clients, providing high-quality service and developing long-term relationships.
  • Offer expert advice and support to clients on a wide range of commercial insurance products.
  • Assist with the preparation of quotations for new business and renewals.
  • Handle client inquiries, ensuring quick and accurate responses to all requests.
  • Work with underwriters and insurers to negotiate terms and secure the best coverage for clients.
  • Support clients throughout the claims process, offering guidance and ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Contribute to the growth of the business by identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures.
  • Provide input into the development and implementation of the company's service strategy and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in commercial insurance broking or account handling is preferred, though not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
  • A genuine interest in contributing to the growth of a new and ambitious insurance broker.
  • CII qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not required.
