Broking Manager

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Broking Manager to lead our Client Advisor Team in Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a team of 9 full-time equivalents (FTEs) while driving growth and innovation in our client services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Client Advisors, conducting regular 1-2-1s to support their development.
  • Client Engagement: Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors, including healthcare, logistics, freight, and food manufacturing.
  • Office Management: Take charge of the financial and operational aspects of the office, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Talent Development: Foster a collaborative environment while attracting and nurturing younger talent to balance the existing age demographic.
  • Reporting: Collaborate closely with senior leadership, including direct reporting to Damian, to strategize and execute business goals.

About You:

  • A proven leader with a passion for mentoring and developing teams.
  • Experience in the broking or insurance industry, with a strong understanding of client management.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, eager to innovate and drive the business forward.
  • Ability to manage a diverse range of client relationships, ensuring excellent service delivery.

Work Environment:

  • Based in our office in Hessle, near the Humber Bridge.
  • Expect to be in the office 3 days a week, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
