Overview: An established and reputable law firm based in Manchester is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their growing team. The firm offers a supportive environment where you will work on high-quality, complex clinical negligence cases, often involving high-value claims and significant impact on clients' lives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception through to resolution.
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients who have suffered due to medical errors or omissions.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and build strong cases by liaising with medical professionals and experts.
  • Draft legal documents, including claims, court applications, and settlement agreements.
  • Attend client meetings, medical assessments, and court hearings when required.
  • Demonstrate excellent client care by maintaining clear, regular communication throughout the case.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the department and wider firm to provide the best possible outcome for clients.
  • Maintain high standards of legal knowledge and keep up to date with relevant case law and legislative developments.


Key Requirements:

  • A qualified solicitor with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in Clinical Negligence law.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload of clinical negligence matters, with a strong track record of successful outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and medical issues in a straightforward manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and dedicated approach to case management, with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience of handling high-value and complex clinical negligence claims.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and staying abreast of legal and medical trends.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients and multi-party litigation.
  • A specialist clinical negligence qualification would be advantageous.
