The Opportunity - Private Client Executive

This is a key role within a highly regarded Private Client team, suited to an experienced insurance professional who thrives in relationship-led, client-facing work.
You'll be responsible for developing and growing a portfolio of High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients across Scotland, as well as nurturing strategic introducer relationships with:

  • Private Client Solicitors
  • Investment Managers
  • Accountants
  • Boutique Wealth and Advisory Firms

The role blends new business development with exceptional client servicing and offers the chance to work alongside colleagues in Commercial and Corporate Insurance, aligning your activity with the overall regional growth strategy.
This is a hybrid role, with time spent working from home, in the office, and visiting clients and introducers face-to-face.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a portfolio of private client business through direct acquisition and introducer channels
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with HNW clients, offering tailored advice across personal insurance lines including home, motor, valuables, travel, and more
  • Collaborate with regional commercial/corporate teams to identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Deliver exceptional service, ensuring ongoing client satisfaction and retention
  • Contribute to business planning and growth initiatives within the Private Client division
  • Represent the business in a professional and personable way at all times, whether with clients, introducers, or internal stakeholders

What We're Looking For

  • Strong background in general insurance, ideally within broking
  • Proven experience in advising HNW individuals and families on private client insurance needs
  • Comfortable with face-to-face client meetings and building trust through expert, ethical advice
  • A confident relationship-builder who enjoys developing professional introducer networks
  • Commercially minded, with a collaborative approach and strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with a broad range of HNW insurance products and providers
