IDEX are currently working with a client who are looking for a Governance Manager to ensure they meet their regulatory obligations. This is a new opportunity to lead on designing and delivering strategic governance frameworks, particularly in regards to how the company meets in regulatory accountability regimes, i.e. SMCR.
This is a Corporate governance role with a 4 key focuses:
1) Ensuring effective leadership and accountability at the highest level,
2) Balancing the interests of shareholders and other stakeholders.
3) Providing transparent and accurate reports to boards, regulators, and other stakeholders about the company's governance and risk status
4) Meeting all legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Governance Leadership: Shape and implement a governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulations while driving resilience within the team.
Committee Oversight: Ensure the right governance structures are in place, from conduct risk to remuneration, with effective representation at all levels.
Assurance Expertise: Lead assurance reviews, internal audits, and regulatory reporting, ensuring readiness for inspection and continuous improvement.
Risk Management: Design and monitor the risk appetite for the team, manage risk incidents, and ensure emerging risks are identified and addressed.
Compliance Mastery: Stay ahead of regulatory changes and ensure the team is fully compliant with all requirements, providing training and guidance on new policies and regulations.
The client are happy to either offer this as a 12 month contract or the possibility of a permanent contract.
